BHIM UPI transactions more than double to 273 cr in March

The overall volume of UPI transactions for the month was Rs 5,04,886 crore, up from Rs 2,06,462 crore the previous month. According to data released on Thursday by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), the number of transactions through UPI more than doubled to 273 crores in March 2021.

In February 2021, there were 229 crores of the same UPI transactions worth Rs 4,25,062 crore.

In March 2021, the real-time settlement with IMPS handled 36.31 lakh transactions worth Rs 3,27,234.43 crore.

According to the NPCI numbers, Bharat Billpay transactions totalled 3.52 crore for a total of Rs 5,195.76 crore during the month,

while NETC FASTag transactions for automated toll collection at toll plazas totalled 19.32 crore for a total of Rs 3,086.32 crore.
